New to the market & available in 3 clever variations is the innovative KWK Roll-a-mate rollator / wheelchair. Yes you read that right, the Roll-A-Mate can be used as both a rollator & a wheelchair for when you get to tired.
At Sheffield Mobility we are keen on keeping people as active as possible. We also understand that fatigue can be unpredictable & can create anxieties when it comes to going out un aided, that’s where the Roll-A-Mate steps in!
The Roll-A-Mate will allow you to go as far as you can, independently on your own, yet installs confidence that when you do get to tired you have the option to take a seat & potentially carry on your day.
Variation 1 is a manual rollator that has no power. If & when you get tired just fold out the foot plates, take a seat & it becomes an attendant wheelchair within seconds
Variation 2 is a powered rollator that will assist you when going up & down hills & as above this will double as an attendant wheelchair should you need it.
The person pushing it can now use the power controls to make pushing a little easier.
Variation 3 is a powered rollator & occasional use powered wheelchair. As above the rollator is power assisted so will aid you when going up & down hills. However on this version the wheelchair is also power assisted so you, the user can now drive independently from within the chair. Better still, the controls on the push handles can still be used to help an attendant push should you wish.
We would not recommend using the Roll-A-Mate as an everyday replacement for a powerchair but as a solution to allow a more pleasurable & less tiring day.
